Teresa joined the accounting division of Chio Lim Stone Forest (CLSF) in 1988. She was later assigned to take charge of the group’s accounts and administration functions, where she was also involved in annual corporate planning exercises and setting up of the management reporting systems for the group.
In 1990, she was transferred to the business advisory division and has undertaken numerous business advisory assignments since then. These include business and financial reviews, corporate restructuring, pre-IPO advisory, investment evaluation, and mergers and acquisitions. She is actively involved in assisting clients, both local and overseas, in their preparation for public listing in Singapore.
In 1997, during the regional economic crisis, she was seconded for one year as a Finance Manager of a semi-conductor equipment manufacturer and precision engineering group. During her tenure there, she was instrumental in setting up the group’s budgetary control and monitoring system. She was also involved in the preparation of budgets and cash flows, improving the accounting workflow and processes, organising work improvement teams and managing the cash flow of the group.
Teresa was promoted to Director of the business advisory division of CLSF in 2000 and a Partner in 2002. |
